Food for students
This is for you Alex & Louis!
So much can be said when sending your children into the world...to live alone:(
Here are some of the basics : try to eat as healthy as possible (oil instead of butter, sheep, oatmeal and coconut milk products instead of cow milk, agave sirup instead of sugar, dark chocolate chopped and melted instead of Nutella, muesli instead of commercial cereals, dried fruit and nuts/almonds instead of cereal bars for energy), prefer organic produce (often cheaper or same price as branded products), eat less meat and more carbohydrates (carbs are more filling), keep stock (rice doesn't last longer than 2 days and most dishes lose their nutrients after a few days, try to freeze in batches), maintain basic products in stock (frozen peas/ broccoli/ spinach/ bredded fish/salmon, seeds & nuts, dried fruit, Basmati and wholegrain rice, pasta, crozets, quinoa, soja sauce, olive & rapeseed 'colza' oil, dark chocolate of minimum 70%, cans of red beans, tuna, peeled tomatoes, tomato sauce, pistou sauce, dried lentils, agave sirup or honey, muesli, coconut and almond milk, Nescafe, green tee, lemons, bananas, biscuits, organic eggs).
